Prominent Community Activist, Social Worker, Leading Organizer, Mr Mohammed Faruk Hossain Mazumder has been regarded as the ‘Ferryman Of Humanity’ to Bangladeshi Community for his outstanding and valuable contribution to COVID-19 Community Food Drive.

Mr Mohammed Faruk Hossain Mazumder is a distinguished son of Narayanpur area of Matlab Dakshin Upazila under Chandpur District. He has been involved in organizing the New York City Bangladeshi Community for the last 30 years. He served two times as the President of the Ruposhi Chandpur Foundation, Vice President of Bangladesh Society in New York City, Chief Advisor of the Probashi Matlab Society, Advisor of the Shapla Wellcare Association, Advisor of CUNY United BSA (CUB), Former Elected Student Government Association Leader of the LaGuardia Community College
He was one of the founders of the The City University of New York’s Book Exchange program.
During his presidency, the Ruposhi Chandpur foundation was deemed as the golden time for the community. Currently, he is working for the Mazumder Foundation which is aimed towards helping to reduce poverty in Bangladesh alongside with New York City. Over the years, he realized that there are many kindhearted people who want to get involved and serve their community but do not find any suitable Platform . Now, they can join Mazumder Foundation to help their mission.

Mazumder Foundation can change many lives and help the impoverished get the assistance they need to lead a good life.

In addition, he has accommodated food for 16 families in the Bronx area with 1 month of supplies during the COVID-19 pandemic in the last week with the support from various organizers.

With his support, it was possible to raise enough money to support over 500+ families in New York City with two weeks of food supply and delivered to their door steps for FREE with less than 4 weeks of Duration. It is suggested that any Bangladeshi can contact to Mr Faruk without any hesitation in case of any difficulty during Corona pandemic.
